Tips to help you stay fresh and happy

  1. 1. Is an online meeting necessary?
Do you really need to see your colleague or team? Could you solve this situation in a different way – perhaps with a short phone call or an email?

    2. Set rules.
Agree in advance on what your online meetings will look like, what you will avoid, when you will end them, etc. And make sure that everyone knows them to the last one.

    3. Cameras: Yes or No?
It's great to see others, but it's not always necessary. Agree on when you will have the cameras on and when you will not use them. This will contribute to greater relaxation and comfort during often long meetings.

    4. Coffee with colleagues.
Plan an informal online meeting. You will see how replacing a few sentences in the kitchen, hallway or at the photocopier, which you were used to at work, can refresh you.

    5. Be offline.
Set aside time when you are not online or available and have time for uninterrupted work. Schedule these sections in your calendar.

    6. Time for yourself.
Include breaks in your calendar. Effective work requires taking breaks – even ten minutes between meetings can be sufficient. And don't have lunch at your computer; take a break as if you were going to a restaurant or cafeteria.

    7. Customize your "office".
Maintain a pleasant work environment at home as well.  Have a dedicated workspace and ensure you have a suitable desk and chair.

    8. Take care of your body.
Stretch, exercise, take deep breaths, and make yourself comfortable. Walk around the house, run up a few floors of a block of flats, take out a trash or walk around a block.

    9. Meeting while walking.
Give a chance to meetings during a walk. For example, you can join team meetings outdoors via the Teams platform, which works on mobile phone.

    10. Clocking out!
Properly end your workday by writing down tasks for the next day and checking off what you have accomplished. Switch to non-work mode – go to another room, change clothes or go outside.
